How many stuff do you need to be happy? How many people around? What kind of weather should be outside to bring a smile on your face?
I see so many posts and unhappy faces about summer are over. If you'll see one non-stop smiling girl in a middle of that "fall depression" that's probably me. If it's you as well, text me and we'll create a community of people "who loves fall and upcoming winter as much as Olya".
Why? Just because! My question is: why your mood changes because of the weather conditions? That's why I asked in the beginning "what do you need to be happy?".
I guess if your happiness depends on some outside factors or even on other people you'll never be happy. Learn how to be happy by yourself first.
I had a cup of tea, some friends around and that rainy day God gave me to be thankful and to enjoy my life. I learned how to be happy not the long time ago. Happiness is something that going out from your heart. Something that you can give to other but at the same time, you'll get even more back.
Have you ever noticed when you make your sad friends smile or laugh you feel even better than before? Or have you ever give something to a stranger just because you had a good mood? But to see the smile on that happy face gave you more joy back to your heart. And there is so many such an examples. Nothing can make you happy until you will let happiness into your heart.
We celebrated the first day of fall by jumping on hay, running around the field and drinking tea after all. We went to the High Tea Bakery for the first time and I just love that place. It's cute and cozy but at the same time so cool. A lot of old photographs on a walls, good-looking (even better tasting) desserts and hot tea. What could be better at that moment? Of course, we couldn't leave without hundred pictures for M. and this location was pretty nice even for that part of our day. Definitely, a place to visit again.
When it's cloudy and rainy outside I'm happy. Do you? There is so many fun stuff to do every season. If summer is over doesn’t mean the fun is over. Don’t let those sad thoughts in your mind. Make this fall one to remember. Do something you were scared to do, challenge yourself. Make something creative with your hands. Take hundreds of pictures and hand them on a wall. Oh, do you need an idea?
Decide to make at least one picture every day for the next month but don’t look at them until the month is over. Doesn’t matter if it’s phone camera or digital, maybe even film. Take some funny, blurry, romantic… pictures of your family, friends, dogs, ice cream. Moments of your life. After the last day, go and print all of them. You can put them on a wall or create a photo book, maybe it will be a gift to someone you were spending time. Trust me, you will love to look at them. So many creative ideas and there is no time for depressions.
Find a new, relaxing or motivational music. Are you already sick of your playlist? Just ask someone with different music taste for advice. Nothing bad to try something new. You can even text me. I’ll give you some of my music. I like to share and to make people smile :)
And again: drink something new. A lot of new stuff this fall… but seriously. If every previous fall’s drink was hot chocolate (for example) try to make the taste of this September as an apple spice tea. You choose, but if you don’t like something you can change it, right? Don’t be afraid to look different. And the last one, but actually my favorite. Go somewhere! Just wake up at 5 am, take a car, cup of coffee, maybe some friend and go. If summer is over, doesn't mean our adventures are over. I like fall campings not less than summers. Even tho it's not that warm in the night (depends on where are you living, in Manitoba, it's already cold) all you need is just the second pair of socks and a hat.
I just want to say one more thing at the end of my spontaneous post: "Try to find something good every day. Even in a bad situation, even in a season, you don’t like, there is always something to be thankful for".
